Goals for Mixed Quizzes:

  • I need to practice mental multiplication a little bit. I can practice this method a little in IXL.
  • I need to practice the area and perimeter of rectangles. I need to practice remembering to add the units.
  • I need to practice making the fractions into percentages and decimals.
  • I need to practice converting units into smaller or larger units.
  • I need to practice dividing whole numbers and decimals. I got this wrong a couple of times so I want to practice this a while.
  • I need to practice the properties of a triangle. I did not get this wrong a lot, but, I am going to practice it for a couple of minutes.
  • I need to practice the properties of a prism. I got this wrong the most so I should probably spend the most time on this to practice.

  • What have you found challenging about math this year?
I have found challenging this math year to get in all of my work for this class. Also, I thought that the Open Responses and the Problems Packets were challenging too. We got some challenging problems but I still tried to figure them out. Also, I thought that the Million Dollar Project was a little challenging but I figured it out.

  • What have you done to overcome these challenges?
I thought about the problems and wrote out different plans and strategies. The problems were hard but after I thought about what we learned that unit, I tried some of the strategies we learned that unit. I looked at other people's projects for the million dollar project if I needed help.

  • What are you most proud of in math this year? Explain why
I am proud that I could do well on tests and get work in when I was absent. I also am proud that I could understand the work. The reason why I am proud of myself for getting in my work is because at the beginning of the year I did not have a good grade because I did not turn in my work when I was absent.

  • What is your personal goal in math for the rest of the school year? Why?
My personal goal is to keep doing well on tests and turning in work. I would want to keep having a good grade for the end of the year. By the end of the year I would like to be having all good grades.

  • What math activity would you like your parents to try and why?
I would like my parents to try one of the problems from the problem packet. I also would want to have her try an IXL problem or a thatquiz problem.
